iPhone Finder by BiKN (Dead or Alive)
Nov 9th
BiKN.com (a foundational group of Treehouse Labs, LLC) has innovated a case and app package that allows you to turn your iPhone into a locatable device when misplaced, whether it is dead, muted, and/or turned-off. A price hasn’t been set on this cool little leash for your phone, but is expected to hit floors in December 2011. Definitely something to look into as the holiday season approaches.
Finger on the PULSE- Get this APP
Sep 5th
I’d like to think of myself as a successful hunter and gatherer in the app forest, and have recently stumbled the best free app. Forgive the awkward metaphor- it’s Labor Day, and my brain is still on standby.

Pulse aggregates sources of online content into a scrollable, graphic story feed. With intuitive design and an extensive selection of sites to add, it provides all the headlines your heart desires without the hassle of going to each site separately. Creators of the app say that the inspiration of Pulse was “bourne out of frustration with the news reading experience on mobile devices.”
A tap on the headline brings you to a summarized story and another tap will lead you to the origin of the article. When adding sources, several recommended choices will appear as well as a search option or the ability to choose most popular topics in a given field (i.e: Top Tech Stories).
Apparently I’m not the only one who found it worthwhile. Pulse was selected as “one of 50 apps in Apple’s App Store Hall of Fame and named one of TIME’s top 50 iPhone apps of 2011.” Sweet.
It’s available on iPhone, iPad and Android- no discrimination here

Oct 15th
So this is pretty cool. A band, Atomic Tom, had their Instruments Stolen. So what did they do? They got really creative… and then they performed on the NYC Subway’s B Train. Check this video out, and see what they came up with. They’re pretty good.
Here’s a link to this song, Atomic Tom’s “Take Me Out”, on iTunes.

The HP Slate…The Future of Computing?
Jan 7th
During yesterday’s CES Keynote Address, Steve Ballmer showed off a bad-arse little device, the HP Slate. It’s like an iPhone on steroids, with multitouch capabilities, etc. however it runs a Windows 7 instead of Apple’s iPhone OS of course. The little tablet device looks slick and if they can beat Apple to the punch, cause you know they have to be working on an iTablet, well they might just put a shot across Cupertino’s bow.
While the hardware looks amazing, I’m a bit concerned with the fact that it’s running Windows 7 and not some OS made for mobiles. This sort of device doesn’t need that much of an OS, just give me a good energy efficient OS with great media viewing applications, access to the internet, facebook, email, ability to read a book (like the Kindle Application Steve Demo’d) and some way to play a game or two when I want to.
Click through to see the teaser video HP released, if you want.

TIP: 7 More Ways To Conserve Your iPhone Battery Power
Aug 6th
Earlier this week I covered 5 Ways to Conserve your iPhones Battery Power, I’ll call those 5 ways for battery conservation the low hanging fruit of power saving. They are the quickest and they save the most power of all the ways to do it. If, however, you are going green and looking for even more ways to reduce your iPhones carbon footprint, don’t worry here are 7 more ways:
TIP: 5 Ways To Conserve Your iPhone Battery Power

As much as I love the iPhone 2.0 release on both my 1st Generation iPhone and my new iPhone 3G, it has problems. The biggest problem I have with 2.0 is how fast it can chug down a full battery. While some of the new features that consume all this power are absolutely great, to be honest most of the time you don’t really need them running. So why not learn how to quickly turn them on and off to get all that battery time back.
TIP: How to quickly add a period to your iPhone message.
Jul 31st
One of the problems with the iPhone keypad when you are typing a message is that the period is on another screen. This is very annoying to have to navigate away from typing the message just to add a little punctuation. Don’t fear, there is an easy way to add a period and continue typing without stopping. Here’s How: More >
TIP: Connecting a Stereo Bluetooth Headset to an iPhone
Jul 30th
One of the biggest problems with the iPhone, in my opinion, is that the iPhone doesn’t support Bluetooth Stereo out of the box. At least that is true at this moment in time. The iPhone technically has the ability to natively support Bluetooth Stereo, Apple just decided not to support it and essentially turned the ability off. I I’m sure they could turn it on with a little programming.
Don’t worry, with a simple and inexpensive accessory, it’s not that hard to jerry-rig it and have full A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth Stereo Support. More >
