The Photo App for the Serious Phone Photographer
Dec 22nd
Phones are no longer crappy cameras that give us “good enough” photos to share online, but now actually take photos that are good enough to print! Which is perfect because when we don’t have our camera on us, we always have our phones. Camera+ is a new app that maximizes the iPhone‘s capability to take photos. With easy to use options for exposure, clarity, multiple shooting modes, zoom, and even a photo flashlight! There’s lots of photo apps out there, but this one takes it further by providing you with every shoot option needed for the phone photographer. You can also set-up your lightbox for easy browsing, get photo info such as ISO, focal length, shutter speed, etc., and instantaneously share pics on flickr, facebook, and twitter. If you like photography and rock an iPhone, this is a no brainer app for only $.99 (Limited time only)!!
iPhone 4s Breaks Records
Oct 12th

Once you give a mouse a cookie (or let’s say, an iPhone 4S), he’s going to want some milk (or an iPhone 5). These thirsty mice just can’t be satisfied! Following the iPhone 4S launch, there has been a general consensus of disappointment regarding the lack of shared info on the iPhone 5. Regardless of how dissatisfied Apple fans may have seemed, it hasn’t affected business. In fact, it has been quite the contrary.
On Monday, Apple announced that its first day of pre-order sales exceeded 1 million, destroying the record of iPhone 4′s 600,000 orders in one day. Philip Schiller, senior VP of Worldwide Product Marketing even remarked, “First day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product Apple has ever launched….”
With over 200 new features, the 4S includes the much-discussed iCloud, allowing users to wirelessly store their music and additional content on Apple’s servers with the capability to receive it from any other device. The iPhone 4S also adds a third carrier partner, Sprint Nextel, in addition to the existing carriers, AT&T and Verizon.
Suck it, AT&T.
Featuring an A5 dual-core processor means double the speed of the previous model, with a battery life up to eight hours. I think that’s enough “milk” to keep Apple users happy for the time being. That’s also enough metaphors for one day.

Thanks Steve – You Were One of The Crazy Ones
Oct 5th
“Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.
While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
- Steve Jobs, (former) Apple C.E.O.
You were one of the crazy ones Steve. Thanks.
Channeling Spielberg with YOUR IPAD
Sep 19th
Sure, I suppose it makes sense that Apple is now the most valuable company in the world. Yes, that is now a fact. Thanks to their ingenious inventions with various uses- all it takes is the right tool or enhancement and next thing you know- you’re directing a movie with your iPad.
That’s now possible, thanks to the Movie Mount- an attachable case for the iPad 2, which allows you to add additional functions the the original video abilities. I bet you wanted a wide angle lens for that sick car explosion scene? Done. You can also attach your own mic to the mount, allowing better audio that the standard mic on the iPad. This ain’t your grandma’s home video.
Watch here:
Let’s be cautious to say that you’re not gonna be the next M.Night StartsWithanS if you’re shooting anything that’s supposed to have a distinction of legitimacy. But when it comes to creating those Waynes World spoof videos in your basement? Game on.

VOD: Band’s Instruments Stolen; Doesn’t Stop Them From Playing
Oct 15th
So this is pretty cool. A band, Atomic Tom, had their Instruments Stolen. So what did they do? They got really creative… and then they performed on the NYC Subway’s B Train. Check this video out, and see what they came up with. They’re pretty good.
Here’s a link to this song, Atomic Tom’s “Take Me Out”, on iTunes.

VOD: Bad-Arse Use of an iPhone For a Print Ad
Oct 8th
So this is a genius implementation of using somebodies personal iPhone for a real-life magazine print advertisement. It’s an advert for an insurance company, out of Belgium, known as AXA. How do they come up with this stuff?!
More important than how they came up with it, how do you think they did it? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Like This Video of the Day? If so, check out the others here
….they’re good.

BMW's iPad Integration
Sep 30th
BMW is debuting their integrated iPad solution. It charges the iPad while providing a convenient fixed mount to enjoy the iPad’s multimedia entertainment. All this amazing technology makes me think, “Whatever happened to the license-plate game?”
Personally I’m not a fan of pacifying your children by distracting them with tv’s, iPads, etc. while in the car. When I grew up I used my imagination while sitting in the back seat. I would color, play the license-plate game – which taught me all of the states and a few countries, and I’d complain when my sister looked out my window……seriously, kids these days already have enough ADD issues, pacifying them while in the car with these types of distractions won’t help the issue.
Regardless, it’s a pretty dope integration into the back of the front seats. Adult rear cabin passengers that have grown up riding uphill both ways while in a blizzard and no heater, rejoice. You can now safely facebook from the backseat.

The HP Slate…The Future of Computing?
Jan 7th
During yesterday’s CES Keynote Address, Steve Ballmer showed off a bad-arse little device, the HP Slate. It’s like an iPhone on steroids, with multitouch capabilities, etc. however it runs a Windows 7 instead of Apple’s iPhone OS of course. The little tablet device looks slick and if they can beat Apple to the punch, cause you know they have to be working on an iTablet, well they might just put a shot across Cupertino’s bow.
While the hardware looks amazing, I’m a bit concerned with the fact that it’s running Windows 7 and not some OS made for mobiles. This sort of device doesn’t need that much of an OS, just give me a good energy efficient OS with great media viewing applications, access to the internet, facebook, email, ability to read a book (like the Kindle Application Steve Demo’d) and some way to play a game or two when I want to.
Click through to see the teaser video HP released, if you want.
