TIP: How to take iPhone Screenshots
So one thing that came with the iPhone 2.0 Software release was a great little secret. One that most people won’t really care about, but for me is a great little tool and might be useful to you. What is is? The ability to take iPhone Screenshots. Here’s How:
That’s right you can now take a picture of pretty much any screen on the iPhone. It’s really simple, just follow the following steps:
- Navigate to the screen you want to capture.
- Press, and hold, the “Home” Button.
- Press, and release, the “Sleep/Wake” Button.
- The screen of the iPhone will briefly flash white.

- Release the “Home” Button.
That’s it. You just captured the screen and the iPhone automatically put the images in your “Camera Roll” folder in the Photos App.
Have Fun.
